Finding Answers to the Resiliency and Preparedness

Questions of the Future

The Network of Networks conferences convene to address three key topics:

  1. Commonalities: Sharing networks’ insight with respect to administrative preparedness for prospective clinical trials during an emergency event. Topics included: protection of patient and family identity and privacy; IRB human subject research review; real time communication during emergencies; and harmonization of research efforts.

  2. Funding: Discussing opportunities and strategies to diversify preparedness funding individually and in collaboration with institutions and providers.

  3. Informatics: Reviewing data preparedness, including evolving standards for real-time data aggregation, analysis, reporting and feasibility of a research emergency analytic engine.
